Several airspaces in the Middle East have faced restrictions due to concerns about missiles and drones, forcing airlines to cancel, reroute, or delay flights.
However, UAE carriers, including Emirates and Etihad Airways, have gradually resumed operations, although they remain below normal capacity.
Maritime security officials also reported attacks on shipping in the region. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said a container ship and a bulk carrier were struck by projectiles off the UAE coast, while another vessel was hit in the Strait of Hormuz near Oman, causing a fire that was later extinguished.
