Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has revealed why he no longer runs outdoors, referring to the ongoing war and the pressure of managing Ukraine’s defence.
In an interview with the media, Zelenskyy said that the Commander of the Air Force, Kryvonozhko, had been sending him messages throughout the night during Russia’s massive overnight attacks on February 23, 2026.
“The Commander of the Air Force, Kryvonozhko, has been texting me all night,” Zelenskyy said.
He described his current daily routine, waking between 6 and 7 a.m., reading the news, and doing physical exercises.
Before the war, Zelenskyy said he enjoyed running outdoors, but the conflict has forced him to adjust his habits.
“I don’t go to the cinema or theatre. I don’t go to shops, I haven’t been to a café once in all the years of the war,” he narrated.
The February 23 assault involved 345 drones and missiles targeting regions including Odesa and Kharkiv, with Ukraine intercepting 33.
Putin Has Already Started ‘World War III’
In an interview with the BBC, Zelenskyy said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin has already started World War III.
He added that the key question is how much territory Russia can seize and how to stop it, emphasising that the goal is not merely to prevent Russia from winning, but to counter its attempt to impose its own system and control over people’s lives.

“There are different views on World War III. I believe Putin has already started it. The question is: how much territory can he seize, and how to stop him? Not to prevent Russia from winning, but because Russia wants to impose its own world and change people’s lives, which they like and choose for themselves,” he said.
Zelenskyy Reports on Lviv Terror Attack, Confirms Russian Involvement
Zelenskyy, in a post on February 22, said that a terrorist attack in Lviv had left one person dead and 25 others injured.
He reported that the incident involved two explosions, with the second occurring after emergency services had already arrived at the scene.
“A cynical and brutal terrorist act is being investigated in Lviv. There were two explosions, and the second occurred after emergency services had already arrived at the scene,” he said.
In his report, he said the victim was a 23-year-old police officer and offered condolences to her family, adding that some of the injured were in serious condition and receiving intensive medical care.

Additionally, Zelenskyy stated that investigators were analysing the circumstances of the attack, which he described as cynical and brutal.
He noted that early findings indicated the perpetrators had been recruited via Telegram and that the operation had been organised by Russia.
“The circumstances of this terrorist attack are now being fully analysed. Many facts have already been established. The perpetrators were recruited via Telegram,” he explained
Furthermore, the Ukrainian president added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Police, and Security Service of Ukraine would provide further details to the public as the investigation progressed.
