President Donald Trump on October 21 praised the FBI’s performance under his administration, claiming record-breaking arrests and enforcement actions aimed at restoring law and order in the United States.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said more than 28,000 violent criminals have been arrested since January 20, with over 6,000 illegal weapons seized and more than 1,700 child predators removed from the streets.
He also cited the dismantling of 2,000 criminal enterprises and the seizure of 1,900 kilograms of fentanyl, an amount he said could kill 125 million people.
“These are historic results,” Trump wrote. “We are bringing law and order back to America.”
Trump credited several individuals by name, including Kash Patel, Dan Scavino, and Andrew McCabe, and praised the broader FBI workforce for “doing a tremendous job, making America safe again!”

Trump has taken a series of actions in 2025 aimed at strengthening US national security, with a focus on border enforcement, biosecurity, and economic sovereignty.
In February, the Department of Homeland Security said it had effectively “closed the southern border” under the direction of Trump and Secretary Kristi Noem.
The agency reported a 93% drop in border encounters within six months and cited a rise in migrants turning back before entering the United States.
“In just six months, President Trump and Secretary Noem have delivered the American people a long list of victories in their mission to secure the homeland and Make America Safe Again.”
Officials credited aggressive enforcement and policy reversals from the previous administration.
Prevention of Biological Threats
In May, Trump signed an executive order restricting federal funding for risky biological research, including gain-of-function experiments, particularly in nations like China and Iran.

The White House said the directive aims to prevent biological threats and hold US based researchers to stricter safety standards.
“The Biden Administration allowed dangerous gain-of-function research with insufficient levels of oversight and actively approved Federal life-science research funding in China and other countries,” White House report read
In April, Trump declared a national emergency to “protect U.S. sovereignty” and enhance economic and national security.
The move enabled the administration to impose reciprocal tariffs on foreign competitors and reframe access to American markets as a privilege tied to national interest.
