The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has announced the auction of prime properties worth hundreds of millions of shillings in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Migori.
In a notice published on Monday, September 22, the Commission said it will conduct the auctions through Galaxy Auctioneers, Keysian Auctioneers, and Astorion Auctioneers on different dates in October.
The properties include 43 apartments, maisonettes, town houses, rental units, and commercial blocks linked to individuals facing corruption cases.
The first auction, scheduled for October 9 at the Pangani Auction Centre in Nairobi, will feature several high-value properties.

EACC Lists Nairobi properties on Auction
The first auction is scheduled for October 9 at the Pangani Auction Centre in Nairobi.
Among the listed properties are a three-bedroom apartment in Riara Apartments, registered under Caroline Adhiambo Obwa.
Additionally, the commission will be auctioning two apartments and a maisonette in Greenspan Estate, registered under Jared Peter Oluoch Kwaga and Jared Peter Odoyo Oluoch Kwaga.
A townhouse at Loresho Ridge Estate, Waiyaki Way, is also on the list.
Kisumu Property
On October 16, Keysian Auctioneers will auction a four-storey block at Savannah Court in Lolwe Estate, Kisumu.
The property, registered under Caroline Adhiambo Obwa and Lorenzo Ochieng (a minor), has eight apartments.
Migori Property
Later the same day, Astorion Auctioneers will auction three large developments in Migori County.
The first is a residential project near Kadika Girls Secondary School, about 1.2 km from the County Commissioner’s offices in Migori town.
Registered to Jared Peter Odoyo Oluoch Kwaga, the plot holds two residential blocks with 20 apartments.
The development is estimated to be 85 percent complete, with parking space, balconies, a borehole, and a septic tank.
On the other hand, the second property, in Rongo Township, is designed for mixed residential and office use.
It features a three-bedroom bungalow, a block of three semi-detached two-bedroom rental units, another block of two semi-detached two-bedroom units, and a caretaker’s cubicle.
The third is in the Wuth-Ogik area, Migori Municipality. It consists of two blocks of one-bedroom apartments totaling about 10 units.
The development, registered under Joram Opala Otieno, sits on a 0.048-hectare plot enclosed by a perimeter wall and served by mains electricity and piped water.

Conditions for Auction
Interested bidders must pay a refundable deposit of Ksh500,000 by banker’s cheque to EACC to obtain a bidding number.
Successful buyers will be required to pay 10 percent of the purchase price on the auction day, with the remaining balance due within 60 days.
EACC stated that all properties are being sold subject to reserve prices and necessary consents.
In total, 43 apartments, along with maisonettes, a townhouse, rental units, and a bungalow, are set to be sold to interested parties.
