KUCCPS Opens Portal for KMTC Applications; Requirements and How to Apply

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially invited applications for placement at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In an update on Wednesday, October 1, KUCCPS stated that prospective students can now apply for Certificate and Diploma programmes in various health-related fields offered at KMTC campuses nationwide.

“KUCCPS invites applications for placement to KMTC programmes,” read part of their announcement.

The application period will run from October 1 to October 14, 2025. 

Some of the Diploma programmes available on the portal include the Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, the Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, and the Diploma in Physiotherapy.

These are among the many options open to applicants for the KUCCPS placements.

For those interested in Certificate-level training, available courses include the Certificate in Community Health Assistant, the Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician, and the Certificate in Public Health.

How to Apply for KMTC Courses via KUCCPS

1. To access the Student Portal, visit the KUCCPS student portal using this link: students.kuccps.net
2. Click on the “Login” tab and enter your KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password. Note: Your password is either your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE Index Number.
3. Once logged in, click on “KMTC Programmes” to view all available courses and their minimum entry requirements.
   Applicants will only be able to apply for courses where they meet the minimum requirements.
4. After reviewing the options, decide on your preferred courses and note their Programme Codes.
5. Start Application by clicking on the “KMTC Application” tab, then select “Apply Now.”
6. Input the Programme Codes in the form provided, arranging them in your order of priority from your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).
7. After entering all your preferred Programme Codes, wait for the system to fetch the programme details before clicking Submit.
8. After submission, you will be required to pay KSh 1,500. The portal will then display the payment instructions.
