Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is now accusing the Inspector-General of police Hilary Mutyambai of alleged favouritism in the Kiambu gubernatorial race.
Kuria claims that Mutyambai is favouring UDA candidate Kimani Wa Wamatangi by providing him with more security personnel than he needs.
He says he also needs enhanced security because he is ‘fearing’ for his life.
Kuria claims he is allegedly being threatened by the head of state.
“Dear IG Mutyambai, while your boss Uhuru Kenyatta is busy threatening my life, you are providing police in Uniforms in 3 land rovers under the command of an OCS to my competitor Kimani wa Matangi for all his meetings”, he said
“Favouritism happened on Wednesday in Mungere in Lari and yesterday in Ngegu, Kiambu Town”.
“Not even Governor James Nyoro is getting this level of security. Treat us all equally and more so those of us whose lives are in danger after Uhuru Kenyatta’s threats,” Kuria wrote on Facebook.
Kuria of Chama Cha Kazi, is battling it out with Kimani Wamatangi of United Democratic Alliance (UDA), incumbent James Nyoro of the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition and former Governor William Kabogo of the Tujibebe party for the Kiambu governorship.
Both Kuria and Wamatangi are in the Kenya Kwanza coalition
