Exiled Kenya Lawyer Miguna Miguna now wants outgoing Cabinet Secretary(CS) Fred Matiang’i and his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho to compensate him before leaving office.
Through his social media accounts, Miguna demanded that the two leaders ensure that he is compensated Ksh7 million, money he says he was awarded by the High Court and the Court of Appeal as damage fees.
Miguna wants the money paid before he returns to Kenya
“To Fred Matiang’i, Karanja Kibicho and Major General Gordon Kihalangwa: You are hereby DIRECTED to contact my advocate, Adrian Kamotho Njenga, and sort out the DAMAGES and COSTS the High Court and Court of Appeal awarded me in the various cases I won since 2018. Do so promptly BEFORE I land,” he stated.
The firebrand lawyer also proposed that the government issues Red Alerts against the two for the ‘crimes’ they had committed against Kenyan citizens.
“Whatever goes around comes around. The MAFIA like Fred Matiang’i, Kibicho and Kihalangwa issued RED ALERTS against me for more than 4 years. Now is their turn to contend with RED ALERTS for CRIMES they committed against Kenyans,” the statement reads in parts.
Miguna’s demands came hours after he announced that he had received his Kenyan passport.
“1687 days after Uhuru Kenyatta, @RailaOdinga, Fred Matiang’i, @Karanjakibicho and @GKihalangwa CONSPIRED to illegally SEIZE and DESTROYED my Kenyan Passport, President @WilliamsRuto has had a new one DELIVERED to me. Waiting for the LIFTING of RED ALERTS,” Miguna wrote on Twitter.
Miguna was deported to Canada following his role in the unofficial swearing-in of opposition leader Raila Odinga as “the people’s president” back in 2018.
