Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei wants former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i ordered back to the country to aid in investigations against him.
Matiang’i silently travelled out of the country even as investigative agencies investigate an alleged raid on his Karen home.
Cherargei questioned why the migration department allowed Matiang’i to jet out of the country saying he should be deported back to face the law.
The vocal Senator further wants officers who cleared Matiang’i travel documents investigated.
“There should be immediate investigations into any officers who cleared CS Matiang’i to travel yet he is under investigation by various agencies. Reshuffling/administrative action should be taken & immediate REPATRIATION of CS Matiangi back to Kenya to face the law/music!” he wrote.
Matiang’i is reportedly in South Africa and has directed his lawyers to handle his matters.
