The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has cautioned the public against fraudsters pretending to be judicial officers.
In a statement on Tuesday, February 27, JSC said the conmen pose as leaders at the JSC with intention of stealing from the unsuspecting Kenyans.
The Commission noted that these people pose themselves off as representing or being affiliated with the JSC.
“They have been posing as employees or members of our leadership with the intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public,” read the statement in part.
“The fraudsters through calls and text messages are asking for payment to secure jobs of the recently advertised positions.”
JSC explained that it is an equal opportunity employer and selects candidates based on merit through a fair, transparent and competitive process from the widest range of eligible candidates.
Besides, the Commission emphasized that it does not solicit for nor accept money from anyone seeking employment.
“Persons interested in vacant positions are also advised against any form of canvassing, as this will lead to automatic disqualification,” read another part of the statement.
JSC Communication Channels
The Commission also listed its official communication channels and encouraged Kenyans to follow and regularly visit its official platforms.
Any formal communication from JSC will be made through the Commission’s email [email protected], telephone number +254202739180 or published at the website www.jsc.go.ke.
For text messages JSC uses JSCKE. On X and Facebook Kenyans should follow @jsckenya and www.facebook.com/judicial Kenya respectively.
