A tragic accident happened between a Super Metro and a Dreamline bus along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway near Kinungi on Tuesday night.
The Dreamline bus was reportedly heading to Mombasa, while the Super Metro bus was traveling towards Malaba when the accident occurred.
Witness George Ogola said two private vehicles were also involved in the accident, making it a multi-vehicle crash.
“A very terrible accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway near Kinungi between a Dreamline bus heading to Mombasa and a Super Metro bus heading to Malaba,” he said.
Super Metro Casualties Rushed to Hospital, Traffic Disruptions
According to Metros Kenya, casualties have reportedly been rushed to hospitals in Naivasha and Kijabe for treatment following the accident along the Kinungi section of the Nairobi–Naivasha road.

Metros Kenya said the circumstances surrounding the Dreamline and Super Metro accident are still being established, with further details expected as investigations continue.
Motorists using the Kinungi stretch have been advised to exercise caution and watch out for possible traffic disruptions following the crash.

Footage from the scene showed extensive wreckage, shattered glass, and debris scattered along the road, with emergency lights visible as responders and members of the public attended to the scene.

Court Suspends Nicco Movers Licence Again
Transport Licensing Appeals Board has suspended Nicco Movers’ PSV operator licence with immediate effect after finding serious safety and compliance failures across its fleet.
The decision comes after two fatal incidents involving Nicco Movers vehicles within six months and an inspection in which 45 of 51 vehicles failed to meet required safety standards. The Tribunal has given the Sacco seven days to address 10 compliance concerns raised by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).
Further, the Tribunal set aside NTSA’s June 9 decision to revoke Nicco Movers’ PSV operator license and replaced it with an immediate suspension.
This ruling means the Sacco cannot operate under the suspended license while the safety and compliance issues are being addressed. The Tribunal found that NTSA had grounds to take regulatory action but determined that revoking the license entirely was disproportionate at that stage.
