Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce celebrated their marriage on Friday, July 3, with a star-studded wedding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
A representative for Swift confirmed the marriage and said the ceremony was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler.
Instead of selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple asked their brothers to stand beside them during the ceremony.

Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “Man of Honor,” while Kelce’s brother, retired NFL player Jason Kelce, was his best man.
The decision stood out as one of the more personal details revealed about a wedding that had been the subject of months of speculation.
According to Swift’s representative, the singer wore a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding gown for the ceremony.
Inside the Star-Studded Madison Square Garden Ceremony
Law enforcement sources familiar with security planning said approximately 1,000 guests attended the celebration at Madison Square Garden.
Preparations began well before the celebrations. Large black SUVs began arriving at the venue Friday afternoon, pulling into white tents erected outside the arena to shield guests from public view.
The day’s schedule included a cocktail hour, the wedding ceremony and a reception expected to continue into the early hours of Saturday.
The wedding attracted a long list of celebrities from sports, entertainment and music.

Among those seen arriving were actors Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, and Ethan Hawke; singer Benson Boone; soccer legend Abby Wambach; sportscaster Joe Buck; and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Other guests included Camila Cabello, Karlie Kloss, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Paulina Gretzky.
A rehearsal dinner was held on Thursday evening, with roughly 100 close friends and family in attendance.
Guests spotted arriving for the rehearsal included actress Lena Dunham and Swift’s longtime friend Abigail Anderson Berard.
Celebrity Guests and Extraordinary Security Measures
Madison Square Garden operated under unusually tight security throughout the celebration.
Law enforcement sources said that about 135 New York Police Department officers were assigned to the area around the venue, alongside private security teams.
Streets surrounding the arena were closed, and police barricades prevented crowds from gathering near entrances.
Fans nevertheless lined nearby streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the couple or some of the celebrity guests arriving for the wedding.
Some supporters described it as America’s version of a royal wedding, while others traveled from across the country simply to be near the venue during the celebrations.
How Madison Square Garden Was Transformed for the Celebration
Inside, the arena reportedly underwent a dramatic transformation for the occasion.
People magazine Editor-in-Chief Charlotte Triggs said the venue no longer resembled its familiar appearance.
“This is going to be an absolute, spectacular blowout,” Triggs said during an appearance on CBS Mornings.
“According to a source, it doesn’t look at all the same inside. They’ve completely transformed it.”
Reporters watching preparations throughout the week saw numerous trucks delivering equipment to the arena, while entertainment crews assembled a large production set inside.

CBS News reporter Bryan West said labels on equipment being moved into the venue suggested a garden-inspired design featuring trees and greenery.
The wedding marked another milestone in a relationship that began after Kelce publicly spoke about unsuccessfully trying to meet Swift following one of her Eras Tour concerts in Kansas City.
The couple announced their engagement last August with a joint social media post that read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The Charitable Gesture That Came Before the Wedding
Ahead of the wedding, the couple also reportedly made substantial charitable donations.
According to People magazine, Swift’s representative confirmed they donated $26 million to several nonprofit organizations before the ceremony.
The contributions were distributed among food banks, children’s hospitals, music and education programs, and animal welfare organizations.
Several charities publicly thanked the couple after receiving the donations, including organizations in New York, Kansas City and Rhode Island.
