A truck ferrying concrete has been involved in an accident along the Kenyatta Avenue/Ngong Road junction.
The truck ferrying concrete reportedly fell on a seven-seater vehicle causing a traffic snarl up along the major road.
A video footage seen by The Kenya Times Newsroom showed the truck turned to its side while onlookers and rescuers try to assist those involved in the accident.
A county government Fire and Rescue truck arrived at the scene but motorists and pedestrians crowding around the area posed an impediment to its entry.
It is however still unclear how many casualties there are from the incident by publishing time.
Reports from the scene say that some individuals on motorbikes were busy robbing the victims.
News of the incident has elicited reactions of sympathy from Kenyans with many expressing their concern about those involved in the tragic accident.

“Hopefully there are no casualties,” remarked one user named Samwel Wekesa.
“These mixers now need to be stopped,” said a user named Steve.
Separate Recent Concrete Mixer Accident in Uganda
Earlier on April 17, a similar accident involving a concrete mixer and another car happened along Entebbe-Kampala expressway.
A cement mixer truck crashed into a Mitsubishi vehicle at the Nkumba University traffic lights, resulting in the death of the Mitsubishi driver, identified as Raphael Okiot.
The accident occurred when the cement mixer truck, reportedly failed to brake and ended up colliding with the Mitsubishi.

Eyewitnesses reported that the cement truck lost control, hit the barriers, and fell onto the Mitsubishi.
The crash led to the immediate death of Raphael Okiot, a court advocate and husband to, Ms. Faith Irene Kwagala, a Ugandan magistrate.
Following the accident, both vehicles were taken to the Entebbe Main Police station, where the body of the deceased was extracted from the Mitsubishi.
The wreckage was cleared from the road with the assistance of a crane truck after security forces were called in.
