A chopper carrying Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has crashed in Baringo County.
According to reports, the CS was in the company of Kenya Airports Authority Chairman Caleb Kositany when the accident occurred.
No casualties have been reported from the accident.
However, the accident had a huge impact on the plane which was damaged on the nozzle.
In addition, the same chopper was earlier in 2020 reported to have failed to take off when it was meant to transport former Health CS Mutahi Kagwe for an official visit in Kericho.

This followed several attempts by the pilot of the chopper to ignite the aircraft but it was futile.
Later, he resorted to using his car for the journey.
The 5Y-PKI was to fly Kagwe and Health director general Patrick Amoth back to Nairobi.
Planes Crash Mid Air
The two incidences followed reports of another plane crash involving a Safarilink aircraft and a chopper.

The two planes were involved in a mid air crash claiming the lives of a flying student and an instructor.
Later, a report by the Aircraft Accident Investigation department of the ministry of transport revealed that the plane had been involved in two prior accidents.
Addittional, in both other incidences involved the same pilot and the Ninety Nine Training School. In one of the incidences, the school had been advised to train it’s students on how to handle emergency situations and the accident was termed as serious.
Statement From the Flying School
Following the incident, the Ninety Nines Flying School , confirmed that the aircraft which collided with Safarilink Aviation Limited passenger plane was theirs.
In addition, the aviation school revealed that the plane was on routine training with an instructor and a student onboard. The two died in the mid-morning incident.
“It is with heavy hearts that we wish to inform our esteemed customers and the general public of a fatal accident that involved one of our aircraft while on a routine training flight today at about 0940 local time,” the statement read.
“The aircraft had two (2) crew on board, an instructor, and a student. We condole with the families, friends, and relatives of the deceased,” the institution said.
