The authority has further reminded businesses that the deadline for invoice generation is March 31, 2024.

According to the taxman, this platform is essential for businesses to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Furthermore, the authority had earlier ordered avocado farmers to provide eTims receipts for their sales. However, majority of members of parliament were against that order arguing that the move will be a step back for avocado farmers.
KRA Directive to Businesses Having Problems Using eTIMS
KRA called on taxpayers and representative bodies experiencing challenges using eTIMS to reach out to explore solutions tailored to cater for their specific needs.
“One such consideration is the reverse invoicing solution where a seller can/may give consent or authority to the buyer to issue invoices on their behalf,” stated KRA in a past statement.
In addition, the Commission said it will support and facilitate all taxpayers to comply with the requirements of the law by adopting a facilitative and collaborative approach to tax compliance.
