Over 600 Companies Face Dissolution

The Registrar of Companies has announced the intended dissolution of over 600 companies under the Companies Act.

In a gazette notice dated November 21, Registrar of Companies stated that the names of the companies listed will be struck off the Register of Companies three months from the date of publication, unless evidence is provided that they are actively carrying on business or operations.

“Pursuant to section 894 (2) of the Companies Act, the Registrar of Companies gives notice that the names of the companies specified hereunder shall be struck-off from the Register of Companies at the expiry of three (3) months from the date of this publication, unless it is shown that the companies listed below are carrying on business or in operation,” read part of the gazette notice.

The list includes companies across a variety of sectors, with a mix of registration types—C., CPR/, and PVT/— for the diverse entities set for deregistration.

The full list spans hundreds of companies, including construction firms, investment holdings, trading enterprises, logistics providers, and service companies.
