Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi has been roughed up and arrested by police officers who were manning parliament premises.
The comedian was protesting against the Finance Bill 2024 atop a horse, when the officers charged towards him and pulled him to the ground.
He was then escorted by a gang of officers despite his resistance and continuous chants on rejecting the Bill.
Before detaining him, an officer is seen beating up the comedian.
Before his arrest, Eric’s companions who were also donned in red, ran away when they saw the officers rushing towards them. However, both plain clothed and officers in uniforms chased after them.
“I am not scared of death. Even my brother was killed. Come and kill me. Power to the people,” he said before his arrest.
