A class eight pupil from Rachar sub-location, in Siaya County committed suicide by hanging himself on a mango tree.
The 14-year-old known as Bravin Mito was a pupil at Langu primary school.
Moreover, the area Assistant Chief Mr. George Odhiambo reported that, the body of the deceased was discovered by his younger sibling as he headed to the shop to buy milk.
“The young boy alerted his parents and the neighbors after he saw his brother’s body hanging on the tree, just outside their home,” said Mr. Odhiambo.
According to the Assistant chief, the class eight pupil had left his home for school the previous day, although unwillingly, but never returned.
His deceased body was later on discovered hanging on the mango tree adjacent to his parent’s home in what seemed like a suicide act.
“Our preliminary investigations revealed that the young man had been directed to attend school that morning, by his mother, but it’s like he didn’t want to go. His body was later found hanging on a tree,” Mr. Odhiambo reported.

Furthermore, the assistant chief stated that police moved the body from the scene to the Madiany sub-county hospital morgue awaiting postmortem even as investigations continue.
Likewise, the administrator cautioned members of the public against taking away their lives, and instead urged them to discuss their problems openly to find solutions.
