A police officer was arrested in Mwingi, Kitui County for allegedly stabbing Mwingi Boy School’s bursar in a row over school fees.
Mwingi Central OCPD Peter Mutuma reported that the officer identified as Haji Boru on Monday, October 24 went to Mwingi Boys Secondary School, where his son studied, and claimed a cash refund of extra money that had been paid through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Nonetheless, hell broke loose after Mr. Alex Mwanzia, who is the bursar, told officer Boru that the money could only be transferred to his son’s college fees account.
Furthermore, it is reported that the officer allegedly forked out a knife and stabbed the bursar near his left armpit.

Mr. Mwanzia is presently admitted at a local private hospital as he awaits to record a police statement.
Moreover, Mwingi police officers arrested officer Boru and is currently held at the Mwingi Police Station awaiting arraignment.
