German investor and AI entrepreneur Hannes Bend has renewed attention to the death of his Kenyan friend Teddy, nearly a year after his passing, saying he has gathered evidence that he believes points to those responsible.
Bend made the claims in a message to his Kenyan friends and followers dated October 3, asking them to remember Teddy, explaining he would disclose more information after his ongoing legal cases conclude.
“A beloved brother, son, family member & cherished by all of his friends like me. He was killed. I am certain based on the evidence I gathered after his death. I will reveal more when ongoing cases of mine are settled. For now, I ask you all to remember Teddy and to support his case again once more is revealed,” part of his statement read.
Hannes clarified that his position on not releasing the information is to protect people connected to the case who will help in serving justice.
Who was Teddy?
Hannes Bend described Teddy as a Kenyan architect, a passionate Arsenal supporter, and a close friend whom his family and colleagues highly regarded.
According to the investor, the late Teddy came from a Kikuyu-Kamba family and had devoted his life to Kenya, working on major architectural projects.
The entrepreneur also said Teddy was known for supporting colleagues and friends and for working overtime and on weekends.

Hannes Bend Reveals Findings on Teddy’s Death
According to Bend, one person he associates with the incident is still working as a DJ in Nairobi clubs despite being among the suspects.
Bend further claimed that he confronted the individual and has a recording of the encounter, which he says took place while an armed group was present.
Bend also referred to a woman whom he said attempted to assist Teddy during his final moments, asking her to come forward with information.
Issuing his call for the accountability of those involved in the alleged murder, the German investor warned that those responsible would face harsh consequences after he gets to them, citing that they have refused to come forward.
Questions over Police Handling
Bend further questioned the handling of the case, alleging that police released suspects after about two weeks.
He also claimed that police did not interview witnesses at the hotel where the incident allegedly happened.
“Not surprisingly, the police let his killers go after two weeks. They didn’t even interview the witnesses at the hotel it happened at,” Hannes Bend stated.
Bend has also urged people who may have information about the circumstances surrounding Teddy’s death to share it with those gathering evidence.
However, he has called out the police, noting that instead of helping the civilians, they have proven to be incompetent and corrupt.
