The family of Conrad Nyabuto has alleged that senior government officials are hindering their pursuit of justice for their son, who was stabbed 27 times by his girlfriend.
While addressing the media, Nyabuto’s father Andrew Naybuto claimed that certain individuals within the government are attempting to protect the suspect.
“There is reliable information that influential figures within the government are trying to interfere with the investigations,” Nyabuto’s father alleged.
The father said their son’s death has been a total trauma and has taken a toll on their family.
“It has not been easy and is not going to be easy because there is that gap which we are not going to fit forever,” Andrew said.

He attributed his son’s death to excessive bleeding after Conrad was stabbed 27 times.
“27 stab wounds is not self-defense actually. It is like you are killing a very dangerous wild animal. So we have been trying to cope but it is not easy,” the father added.
Nyabuto’s mother, on her part, said their son had gone to work things out with his girlfriend about their estranged relationship at the girlfriend’s home in Kamakis only to end up dead few hours later after their meet up.
