Legendary Nigerian singer and songwriter 2Face Idibia has confirmed that he has separated from his wife Annie Idibia.
Idibia had written on his Instagram stories that he had been separated from his wife for a while. Shortly after, he posted that his account had been hacked invalidating the story of separation.
The singer however did a video later dismissing claims that his account had been hacked stating that he meant what he said.
“Nobody hacked my account. I meant what I said, I come in peace,” stated Idibia.
2Face to release a press statement
In the earlier post, the singer stated that he had filed for a divorce and would soon release a press statement to give his side of the story.
“Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long. I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce,” stated Idibia.

He went on to add that inasmuch as he owes no one an explanation he needs the people he loves to know that he is innocent.
“I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offence. Stay blessed my people. I love you all” added the singer.
2Face Idibia confesses to cheating
It was after posting this message that he claimed his account had been compromised.
Idibia has been married to model, former presenter, and actor of the reality Netflix show Young Famous and African, Annie Macaulay Idibia for thirteen years. They have two kids together.

Annie spilled the details of her relationship on the Young Famous and African Show revealing how her husband’s cheating behavior has embarrassed and affected her.
Idibia has been caught up in infidelity scandals. In 2022, the Nigerian star publicly apologized to his wife after allegedly having his sixth child outside wedlock. He has three other children from previous relationships.
2Face Idibia, now known as 2 Baba has won numerous awards in the music industry including MTV Africa Music Awards and BET Awards.
