Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has revealed the names of Kenyans she feels would be a perfect fit for the Young Famous and African Show.
Speaking at an online interview, Zari stated that if she were to cast Kenyans for the show, she would pick, socialite Vera Sidika. She stated that this is because she has an outgoing nature befits the show.
“I feel Vera would look good on our show, I mean she is pretty and I think she can throw some jabs, she looks like us,” she explained.
Zari reveals why Zuchu should be on the show
Asked what she thinks of Kenyan singer and songwriter Tanasha Donna, she stated that as much as she is beautiful, her demeanour would not really match the energy of the show.
“Tanasha is pretty but she is so reserved as compared to the rest of us. She is my friend and we always speak and she is this nice quiet girl which could not work for the show,” stated Zari.

She also named Tanzanian singer Zuchu whom she said would spice things up owing to the fact that Diamond Platinumz is part of the show.
“Let us have Zuchu. I would like to see Diamond and Zuchu because I feel like Zuchu coming to the show would stir things up all of a sudden,” stated Zari.
The socialite, also known as the Bosslady however stated that Tanzanians do not necessarily fit in the show as they are heavily invested in gossip and social media.
Why Tanzania’s Celebrities are not fit for the show
“Tanzanian people are not as dramatic as we are. Tanzanians are big on gossip and I do not think that gossip would work on Young Famous and African. They are so invested in gossip and social media drama which is very different from reality TV,” she justified her stereotype.

The Bosslady went on to say that in as much as she has her opinion on cast members, Netflix has the sole prerogative to determine who gets featured on the show.
The Young Famous and African Show is a Netflix reality TV show that showcases the lives of African celebrities. The show is in its third season which premiered on January 17, 2025.
Besides Zari Hassan, other cast members include Tanzania’s Bongo star Diamond Platinumz, actress Ini Edo, Uganda’s Shakib Lutaaya, and Ghanaian singer Fantana among others.
