Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has come out to defend her husband Shakeeb Lutaaya after being mocked for his English ahead of a Netflix Show he is set to feature in.
Zari took to social media calling out the people making fun of the husband stating that their focus is misplaced.

“Oh, we cannot wait to see Shakib’s English. Let’s talk about the English my husband is going to be on Netflix. You, with your English, your literature, your accent, your everything—honey, look at you! My husband is going to be on the biggest platform in the whole world—Netflix. And here you are discussing his English. See your life,” stated Zari.
Zari termed the achievement a winning season for her husband which is something she said she is very happy about.

“ Let’s talk about it! Let me tell you something—it’s been a winning season for my husband. My husband begged me—winning season for him,” added Zari.
She lauded the husband for the great milestones stating that she would love the Shakeeb to surpass her and head to Hollywood.

“He’s winning at everything. And from Netflix, obviously, bigger deals are coming. Who knows? My husband might even surpass me and go to Hollywood,” noted Zari.
Zari also pointed out that those who criticize Shakeeb for his language, are projecting because they are jealous of his success.
“I see you all starting to fall in love with my husband now because he’s the guy—yet you mocked us at the beginning, saying that’s all I could get,” stated Zari

Shakeeb features in the Netflix reality titled Young Famous and African which is set to return on January 17, 2024, for its third season.

The reality show portrays the lives of young African celebrities through their personal lives, relationships, and careers.

New cast members set to feature in the third season include award-winning fashion and lifestyle content creator Kefilwe Mabote and Nollywood actress Ini Edo.
