Gospel singer Shiru Wa GP has confirmed that the late Betty Bayo’s ambassador role at Virtuous Explorers will remain active even after her sudden death, ensuring ongoing financial support for her children.
Shiru shared on Facebook on Saturday, November 15, 2025, that a meeting with Virtuous Explorers CEO Sarah Mtalii and lawyer Mwenda Njagi led to a decision to keep Betty’s contract in force despite her passing.
“Betty Bayo was a Brand Ambassador at Virtuous Explorers. Following yesterday’s meeting with Virtuous Explorers CEO Sarah Mtalii and Wakili Mwenda Njagi, it was agreed that Betty Bayo’s contract with Virtuous Explorers will continue even after Betty’s sudden demise,” Shiru wrote.
According to Shiru, Betty had a close working relationship with Mtalii, who has agreed to continue honouring the agreement as a mark of respect for the late gospel artist.
Shiru also revealed that once Betty’s funeral is concluded, her widower Tash and Pastor Kanyari, the father of her two children, will meet with the company to discuss a new contract extension.
The plan is to secure a steady income for her children, Sky Victor and Dany, ensuring their future is safeguarded.
“After we lay Betty Bayo to rest, Tash and Pastor Kanyari will meet with Virtuous Explorers to arrange a new contract extension for Sky Victor and Dany, honouring Betty’s legacy and providing for her children,” Shiru said.

Bayo passed away on Monday, November 1,0, while receiving treatment at Kenyatta Hospital.
The last post on her Facebook Page, a day before her passing, read, “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.”
The news of Bayo’s demise was confirmed by her ex-partner, Pastor Kanyari, with whom she had two children.
In his official social media, Kanyari wrote, “R.I.P Mama Sky. The mother to my kids.”
A family representative, who spoke to the media at Kenyatta hospital, explained that Betty had been unwell since the previous week, battling acute leukaemia and suffering from excessive bleeding.

She revealed that Betty was initially taken to AAR Hospital on Kiambu Road before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital on Friday.
Betty Bayo was a renowned Kenyan gospel musician, renowned for her exceptional stage performances and excellent command of the Kikuyu language through her songs.
She was born on June 4, 1985, in Banana, Kiambu County, and grew up in a humble background. Betty Bayo attended Mihuti Primary School in Olkalou, Nyandarua County.
