A Kenyan family from Mkongani, Kilifi County, is appealing for support to repatriate the body of their loved one from Saudi Arabia.
The deceased, Jacinta Mueni Muinde, had worked in Saudi Arabia for 14 years, having moved there in 2011 in search of better opportunities.
According to details shared by Bahari FM, her family confirmed that Muinde suffered a cardiac arrest while at work and passed away on Wednesday, November 12.
Over the years, Muinde worked hard to support her family back home until her sudden death, which left relatives grieving and struggling to cover the costs of repatriation.
Kenyans online have expressed grief and solidarity, sent condolences, and urged support for the family during this difficult time.
“My sincere condolences to the family and friends. These are trials, but God had already planned them. It is very painful, especially for the parents. May God give you comfort in your hearts during this difficult time. My condolences to the family,” @Allina.
The relatives are appealing to well-wishers, friends, and charitable organisations to assist in bringing Muinde home from Saudi Arabia for burial.
Annette Kagendo Dies While in Saudi Arabia
Jacinta Mueni’s death follows the death of Embu lady, Annette Kagendo, who passed away in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, while receiving medical treatment.
According to family and hospital sources, Kagendo fell ill and was admitted to the Family Care Hospital, where she later died.

Kagendo had travelled to Saudi Arabia to work for the Saudi Manpower Solutions Company (SMASCO), seeking better economic opportunities.
Her health deteriorated while on the job, prompting her transfer to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she did not recover.
Following her death, the hospital reportedly shared her personal identification details with the Kenyan Embassy in Riyadh to facilitate contact with her next of kin.
A video that circulated on social media showed Kagendo’s body being secured in a wooden box and locked for transport, as relatives prepared to bring her remains back to Kenya.

The crisis, as reported by the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, is due to the kingdom’s strict laws on children born out of wedlock being denied registration as citizens of Saudi Arabia.
“Given the huge population of Kenyan women working in the country (Saudi Arabia), the problem of mothers with undocumented children is prevalent, and the government is seeking bilateral interventions,” Mudavadi acknowledged in a presser on Tuesday.
Mudavadi added that the issue has been the subject of several parliamentary sessions, raised by members of parliament whose constituents have been affected
