Amref International University (AMIU) is an accredited higher education institution specialising in health sciences and is fully owned by Amref Health Africa.

AMIU draws on the experience of Amref Health Africa, which has over 60 years of public and community health work in more than 30 African countries. For over 40 years, through its predecessor, the Amref International Training Centre (AITC), it has contributed to training leaders in public health.
AMIU focuses primarily on health sciences, with a commitment to developing innovative programs that meet the current and future needs of African populations. The university comprises two schools: the School of Medical Sciences and the School of Public Health.
