According to projections at the time, the school was expected to expand to six streams by the year 2020, in line with rising enrollment and infrastructure development.
Over the years, the school has consistently demonstrated improvement in academic and co-curricular performance.
In the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, Buru Buru Girls posted an impressive mean score of 8.6061, a slight improvement from the school’s 2023 mean score of 8.3133.
