The KCA University Professional Technical Training Institute (PTTI) leads vocational and technical education, equipping graduates with the skills to thrive in Industry 4.0’s technology-driven workforce.
Since its establishment in 2017, the Institute has offered practical, market-driven training in fields such as food and beverage production, ICT, and other emerging sectors.
It combines blended learning, proficiency certifications, and work-based training to ensure graduates gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise.
PTTI builds on the transformative history of KCA University, which began in 1989 as the Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA).
ICPAK founded KCA to address the shortage of professional accountants, and the college quickly trained over 40% of Kenya’s professional accountants.
In 2007, KCA upgraded to a full university while continuing to offer professional programs under the School of Professional Programs.
Aligned with Kenya’s Vision 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the African Union Agenda 2063, PTTI drives innovation in technical education.
It designs programs to prepare graduates for the evolving digital economy, helping them become future-ready professionals capable of making a transformative impact.
