The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) sets minimum subject requirements for admission into various degree programmes, including engineering.
Prospective students must meet the criteria to qualify for placement in accredited universities across Kenya.
According to the KUCCPS portal, here are the minimum subject requirements for different engineering programmes in different categories:
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Programmes
- Minimum Grades:
- Mathematics: C+
- Physics: C+
- Chemistry: C+
- English or Kiswahili: C+
- Fourth Cluster Subject (Biology, Geography, or any Group III, IV, V subject): C+ (where applicable)
- Eligible Programmes:
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Chemical and Process Engineering
- Civil & Structural Engineering / Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering
- Mechanical & Production Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial and Textile Engineering
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering Fields
- Minimum Grades:
- Mathematics: C+
- Physics: C+
- Chemistry: C+
- English or Kiswahili: C+
