Kenyans on social media have criticized DJ Chris Odhiambo popularly known as Kriss Darlin, over his remarks following the death of media personality Njambi Koikai.
In his message, Kriss Darlin called out fellow celebrities for posting photos with the late Njambi but failing to do so when she needed their help with blood donation.
“It is now time to post pics with the departed but when she asked and needed blood donations and help nobody posted pic,” the post read.
This message was met with mixed reactions as most celebrities called Kriss out for his sentiments while defending their efforts to help Njambi when she was alive.
Comedian and founder of Njugush Creatives Timothy Kimani popularly known as Njugush reminded Kriss of what he put her through while she was alive.

“But Kriss, you should be the last to speak… you know what you put her through,” Njugush said
Kenyans React to Kriss Darlin’s Remarks
Music publicist Anyiko Woko also weighed in on the matter noting that several people came through for Njambi in different ways but didn’t necessarily post about it.

Additionally, she stated that Njambi would prefer people to celebrate her life and remain positive.
“Jahmby doesn’t deserve this weird comment. A lot of people and friends posted about the blood request and have in other instances. There are people who also help or have helped and don’t post. Let’s just celebrate her and be positive. That’s what she would appreciate,” Anyiko pointed out.
Xclusive deejay, reiterated Anyiko’s sentiments mentioning the various ways in which people supported Njambi.
“Now you’re gate keeping how people will mourn? Ahh surely, people support in different ways. Not everyone must donate blood. …. there are people who would pray for her, maybe send her an encouraging message …. I’m sure this sounded smart while typing but it’s not,” DJ Xclusive said.
DJ Double trouble also shared his perspective sharing that, “I personally urged people to go and help her, that was our last conversation. Aired it on radio and shared,” he said.

Njambi Koikai’s Death
Renowned media personality Mary Njambi Koikai, popularly known as Fyah Mummah, passed away early on Tuesday, June 4, after a long battle with endometriosis.
Her demise came just days after she appealed to Kenyans for blood donations.
The reggae queen will be remembered by many for her love of reggae and tireless efforts to educate and raise awareness about endometriosis.
Prior to her demise, Njambi had reached out to various local and international key figures including Tv host Ellen De Generes and president Ruto seeking support for endometriosis research.
While President Ruto was on his USA tour, she urged him to make significant investments in the health sector, similar to those in Atlanta, Georgia, which boasts advanced medical apparatus and specialists capable of addressing serious conditions like endometriosis.
