The Nairobi City County has announced a temporary closure of the City Hall Way from Parliament Road to Wabera Street from 9:00 PM on Friday, November 21, to 11:59 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
According to a notice published on Friday, November 21, 2025, this temporary closure is set to facilitate the activation and launch of the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan at City Hall Way.
The public has since been urged to follow the guidance of police officers and traffic marshals on site to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during the event.
Reasons for the Closure of City Hall Way and Other Major Roads
According to the notice, the closure of these roads will give space for the successful activation and launch of the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan in Nairobi.
Additionally, the Nairobi County Government said that this closure will serve as a precautionary measure to prevent traffic congestion and enhance public safety, as many people are expected to attend.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes and plan their journeys in advance. The authorities also advised pedestrians to exercise caution and adhere to all safety instructions issued by the officials on site.
The affected stretch has been closed during major events in the past, including the Kenny G Concert held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in September 2025.
