A day earlier, the committee announced another change, moving the body viewing of the former Prime Minister from Parliament to Kasarani Stadium. This change was due to the huge crowd gathered outside Parliament, which made it impossible to accommodate everyone who wished to view the body.
The Saturday public viewing, initially scheduled for Moi Stadium in Kisumu, has since been moved to Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo. After the public viewing, his body will be taken to his Opoda Farm in Bondo for a night vigil.
