Siaya County recorded a total of 533,595 registered voters, according to the latest data released by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The county is subdivided into six constituencies: Ugenya, Alego Usonga, Gem, Bondo, Rarieda, and Ugunja.
Alego Usonga constituency leads with the highest number of registered voters at 122,002, followed by Bondo with 104,035 and Gem with 93,568.
Rarieda comes in next with 84,849, while Ugenya and Ugunja have 69,027 and 60,114 registered voters, respectively.
Siaya’s parliamentary representation includes David Ouma Ochieng of the Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) in Ugenya, re-elected in the 2022 general elections.
Alego Usonga is represented by Samuel Onunga Atandi of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), while Elisha Ochieng’ Odhiambo (ODM) continues to serve as the MP for Gem, a position he has held since 2017.

Gideon Ochanda Ogolla (ODM) serves Bondo, and Paul Otiende Amollo (ODM) represents Rarieda.
The Ugunja parliamentary seat remains vacant following the resignation of James Opiyo Wandayi in July 2024 to take up a Cabinet position as Secretary for Energy.
A by-election is expected to be scheduled in due course to fill the vacancy.
