Baringo County Announces Job Opportunities: How to Apply

Baringo County Public Service Board has announced 53 jobs in different departments as the devolved unit seeks to fill the vacancies as per the provisions of Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya. 

In a notice on January 24, 2025, Baringo County has invited qualified applicants to apply for the jobs. 

According to the advert, the County seeks to recruit individuals with different job skills, ranging from Health services to infrastructure and Public Works, and Culture and Social Sciences.

Other areas are youth affairs, Gender, and Sports, Devolution, Public service, administration ICT and E-Government, Water, irrigation, Environment and Climate Change.

At the same time, professionals in Agriculture, Livestock and Blue Economy, Department of Finance and Revenue Management, and finally, Land Housing and urban development are needed.

Open Jobs in Baringo County

Health services 

The following are suitable vacancies under the health services; Health Records and Information Technologists III, Nutrition and Dietetics Technologists III, Medical specialist (surgery), Radiographer III, Medical Laboratory Technologist III, Registered Clinical Officer I (Anesthesia), Pharmaceutical Technologist III, Farewell Home Assistant I, Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse III, Pharmacist and Medical Officers on contract basis. 

Infrastructure and Public Works 

Baringo County seeks to recruit qualified persons permanently in the following: Architectural Assistant II, senior Superintending Architect, Architect II, Inspector (Building), and artisan (Mechanics). 

Culture, Heritage, and Social Sciences 

The County is recruiting qualified persons on permanent basis in the following: Culture Officer II, Social Development Officer II. 

Youth affairs, Gender, and Sports 

Baringo County seeks to recruit qualified persons on permanent basis in the following: Youth Officer II and Gender Development Officer II. 

Devolution, Public service, administration ICT and E-Government 

According to the Board, it is looking to hire qualified persons on permanent basis in the following: Community Development Assistant and Legal Officer. Chief Supplies Chain Management Officer will be on contract basis.

Water, irrigation, Environment and Climate Change 

Baringo County seeks to recruit qualified persons on permanent basis in the following: Environmental Officer. 

Agriculture, Livestock and Blue Economy 

Baringo County seeks to recruit qualified persons who have the job skills in Laboratory Analyst on permanent while Animal Health Assistant II (meat Inspector) on a 3-year contract. 

Department of Finance and Revenue Management 

Baringo County seeks to recruit qualified persons on permanent basis in the following: Sub County Revenue Officer and Accountant I 

Lands Housing and Urban Development 

Baringo County seeks to recruit qualified persons on a 3- year contract basis as a Municipal Physical Planner. 

How to apply and Requirements

Applicants should submit their applications together with copies of their curriculum Vitae, Academic and Professional Certificates, Testimonials, National identity Card or Passport. 

The applications are to be physically hand delivered to the Baringo Public Service Board on or before 7th February 2025 at 5:00P.M 

The envelop should indicated the position applied on the right-hand side.
