PSC Selects 3,105 Interns for Cohort 7 Program – How to Check

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the selection of interns under the Public Service Internship Program (PSIP) Cohort 7.

The commission in a statement on Tuesday, January 7, noted that it has completed the recruitment process.

PSC congratulated the successful candidates on their achievement, after months of interviews and application process.

The internship program is designed to provide young professionals with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various public service roles, contributing to their professional growth.

The names of the selected 3,105 interns have been published on the PSC job portal.

Details of the PSC Internships

This announcement follows the Commission’s recruitment drive in August for interns under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) for the 2024/2025 Financial Year.

The PSIP is a key youth empowerment initiative by the Kenyan government aimed at equipping recent college graduates with practical experience and skills to improve their employability, foster professional networks, and encourage entrepreneurial growth.

Since its inception in 2013, the program has positively impacted thousands of young people by providing hands-on experience across various fields.

Some of the sectors involved so far include administration, human resources, records management, accounting, ICT, finance, public communication, supply chain management, economics, agriculture, agricultural engineering, and civil engineering.

How to Check

The names of the total 3,105 posted candidates for the PSIP Cohort 7 drawn from different counties are available on the Public Service Commission website www.publicservice. go.ke.

The full list of successful applicants can be found by downloading the document provided here.

Additionally, PSC has listed details of their counties of posting and reference numbers.

As of July 2024, the PSIP had already posted over 25,200 interns since its inception in 2019.

Some interns have successfully transitioned into permanent positions within the public service or other sectors after completing their internships.
