Murang’a County Announces Internship Opportunities: How to apply

Murang’a County Government has announced internship opportunities for the youth, in a notice published on January 21, 2025. 

In the notice placed in local dailies, Murang’a County invited applications from any qualified candidate to apply before the deadline.

As per the notice, Murang’a County Government gives internship opportunities with the main objective of offering college graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. 

In addition, the internship opportunities, build skills to enhance their chances for employment, networking and entrepreneurship.

Internship Objective 

The objective of the internship is to provide young adults with the opportunity to gain skills that can be applied in their future employment.  

Internship Opportunities positions in Murang’a county

The internship positions advertised through the notice include General interns (11) posts, Communication and Media Interns (3) posts, Youth Polytechnic instructors Interns (7) posts, ECDE Caregivers interns (10) posts, Medical Laboratory Technologists interns (10) posts, ICT interns (3) posts, Supply Chain Management intern (1) posts and Automotive Engineering intern (1) post. 

Eligibility for the internship 

To apply and be recruited, you must be a Kenyan Citizen not over 35 years old. 

Applicants must be unemployed graduates from a recognized institution not more than 24 months. 

Additionally, applicants must not have benefitted from any other internship program or been exposed to work experience related to their area of study since graduating. 

In addition, applicants must not have exited from any formal employment.

Qualified applicants should visit the Murang’a County website for more details of how to apply. 

Applicants must support their applications with relevant certificates, records and transcripts from their institutions of learning. 

All applications must be done online and submitted to the website on or before 28th January 2025 

Requirements 

Shortlisted candidates will be required to have their original Identity Cards, academic and professional certificates, testimonials and any other relevant document. 

Terms of service 

The county Government will not offer employment after the completion of the internship Program. 

Successful candidates must, however, complete the twelve months of training before fully benefitting from the internship program objectives. 

Applicants must know only successful candidates will be shortlisted and later be contacted.

Further instructions 

Applicants from other counties are encouraged to apply. Any form of Canvassing will lead to an automatic disqualification. 

Women, minorities and Persons Living with Disabilities are encouraged to apply. 

Additionally, the County’s service board stataed that incomplete applications will not be considered.
