The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has announced internship opportunities for degree holders and invited qualified candidates to apply.
In a notice on April 25, 2025, the CBK invited applicants to submit their applications by the deadline of May 16, 2025.

The internship program shall run for one (1) year, after which candidates will be released to pursue opportunities in the job market.
“CBK hereby invites applications from qualified candidates for the Central Bank of Kenya Internship Program,” the statement read.

The internship openings include positions in Finance, Research, Banking and Payment Services, Communications, Human Resources, Internal Audit and Risk, General Services, and Information Technology.
Internship Requirements at CBK
Applicants must satisfy the requirements by submitting valid and current copies of the following:

A degree from a recognized university in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Economics, Statistics, Banking, Accounting, Micro-Finance, Human Resources, Management, Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications, or related disciplines; or a master’s degree in a relevant field.

Kenyan citizens between 21 to 29 years of age.

Must have graduated within the last 24 months from the closing date of the advertisement.

Applicants must provide a recommendation/reference letter from the university attended.

Should NOT have undertaken any other internship program or been exposed to workplace experience related to their area of study since graduating.

Successful candidates shall be required to have valid medical insurance cover, provided by SHIF or another reputable medical insurance firm, for the entire internship duration.

How to Apply
Applicants are required to begin the application process by visiting the application portal through the link https://www.eaglehr.co.ke/job-openings.
Candidates are required to create an applicant profile by completing the registration process on the portal.
Once registered, applicants must upload the required documents, including academic certificates, transcripts, and a recommendation letter from their learning institution.
After ensuring all information is accurate and documents are correctly uploaded, applicants should submit their application online.
All applications must be submitted on or before May 16, 2025, as late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
CBK Employment Policy
The Bank has informed candidates that it will not offer employment upon completion of the Internship Program. However, applicants who successfully complete the program will be eligible to apply for any positions the Bank advertises after the internship period.
