The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has announced attachment opportunities for students in universities and colleges.
In a notice on Saturday, August 16, CA invited ongoing students to apply for the 3-month attachment opportunities across 17 different departments.
The Authority, which serves as the regulatory agency for the ICT sector in Kenya, is seeking students interested in gaining practical experience in fields related to telecommunications, cyber security, broadcasting, multimedia, e-commerce, postal and courier services, and more.

The available attachment opportunities span 17 departments; each tied to specific academic areas of study. These include:

Human Resources and Administration – for students in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, and Public Administration.

Corporate Communications – for those studying Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, and related fields.

Finance & Accounts, Supply Chain Management, and Legal Services- for students pursuing Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and Logistics.
Technical roles are also available in areas such as Frequency and Spectrum Management, Compliance Enforcement, IT, Cyber Security, and Telecommunications Engineering.

These are suitable for students in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency Engineering, ICT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Cybersecurity.
Other departments include Consumer Protection and Advocacy, Public Education and Awareness, Universal Service Fund, Research, Planning and Quality Management, Competition Management, and Legal Services – open to students pursuing Law, Public Policy, Education, Media, Sociology, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, and Regulatory Affairs.

According to CA, the deadline for applications is on August 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (East Africa Time).
