Hiram Gitau “Tash” Biography

NAME HIRAM GITAU
AGE UKNOWN
GENDER MALE
OCCUPATION BUSINESSMAN AND CONTENT CREATOR

Hiram Gitau, alias “Tash”, is a Kenyan businessman and content creator who is publicly recognised for his role as the supportive husband of the late Kenyan gospel singer Betty Bayo.

Early life and education

Gitau was born and raised in the present Nakuru County. While his exact birth date remains private, he is believed to have been born in the late 1980s to early 1990s. He grew up in Nakuru, where he completed his primary and secondary education.

Sources suggest he later pursued higher education in a business-related field, developing skills in business management, sales, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and customer service, which supported his transition into private business ventures.

Career

Hiram Gitau reportedly began his professional journey in sales, brokerage, and business management roles, honing his leadership and communication skills.

He later ventured into entrepreneurship, focusing on private business ventures in East Africa, reportedly in real estate, logistics, or digital services, though he maintained discretion about specific companies.

In parallel, Hiram built a public profile as Tash AU, a content creator on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, where he shared lifestyle tips, motivational messages, family values, and faith-oriented content.

His relatable style and authenticity earned him a loyal following. As of December 1, 2025, he had 25,000 followers on Facebook.

Personal life

Hiram is family-oriented and private. He has two biological children from a previous relationship, details of which he keeps private to protect their privacy.

He met the late gospel singer Betty Bayo around 2019, after her separation from Pastor Victor Kanyari, and gradually became part of her family, embracing her two children, Sky Victor and Danny, as his own. Betty, in the past, said that they met in 2019, when he first reached out during one of her prayer programs, sending Bible verses from Ecclesiastes. Their connection grew slowly through friendship, shared faith, and his natural bond with her children.

After more than a year of courtship, they formalised their union in a traditional Kikuyu ruracio wedding in December 2021.

Their union made Tash widely recognized, though he maintained a quiet public profile focused on family, business, and content creation.

Betty had also highlighted how her husband built a close bond with her children from the beginning, including small gestures like fulfilling a long-overdue promise to Danny, which strengthened their trust.

Tash also stood out for his unwavering support during Betty’s battle with leukemia in 2024–2025, remaining by her side throughout treatment. His dignified and emotional response to her passing in November 2025 moved many Kenyans who saw him as a devoted husband and father figure.

Net worth

While Hiram Gitau’s exact net worth is not publicly known, available information he shares online shows he has lived a financially stable and comfortable life, supported by his business ventures, content creation income, and investments. However, he has chosen to keep his wealth low-profile and private.
