Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Enterprises Limited, the business arm of the institution, has advertised various job opportunities.
In a notice dated February 12, 2025, the recruitment agency called on qualified Kenyans to apply for the advertised positions.

“Our client is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyans to fill the following vacant positions,” read the notice.
According to the JKUAT Enterprises Limited, the positions advertised include the position of Deputy Director General, Regional coordination (1 post), Manager Consumer Protection, (1 post), Manager for Environment, Health and Safety (1 post), Consumer Protection Officer (11 posts) and Electricity Officer (12 posts).

Additionally, JKUAT Enterprise Limited is seeking qualified Kenyans to apply for the following positions, Energy Efficiency Officer (12 posts), Petroleum/Gas Officer (9 posts), Pricing Analyst (2 posts), Public Education, Awareness and Advocacy Officer (10 posts) and Renewable Energy Officer (6 posts).
Other positions advertised include positions of Reservoir Engineer (1 post), Surveillance and Enforcement Officer (2 posts), Accounts Assistant (1 post) and Driver (3 posts).

According to the notice, all the positions advertised are permanent and pensionable except Deputy Director General, Regional coordination position which is a 3-year contract.
JKUAT Positions with Least Academic Qualifications
For driver position applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Four (4) years relevant working experience as a Driver;
- KCSE mean grade D+ (plus) or equivalent qualification;
- Valid Class BCE Driving License free from any endorsement;
- Trade Test for Drivers III;
- Proficiency in computer application; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
For Accounts Assistant Position Candidates Must meet the following requirements:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C (plain) or its equivalent.
- Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent from a recognized institution; OR: Certified
Public Accountants CPA I or Equivalent; Kenya Accountants Technicians Course (KATC); - Be proficient in computer applications; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Instructions Issued to All Applicants
The notice further stated that applicants must upload the following documents during the application:
- A Signed application letter.
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary level of education and names of at least three professional referees, two of which must be working in the current organization
- National Identity Card: and
- Copies of academic and professional certificates
Interested and qualified individuals are required to submit their applications online via the link: jkuates.fuzu.com not later than close of day on Aprill 2 2025.

Further, the notice indicated that Youth, female candidates, Persons with Disability (PWD) and marginalized are strongly encouraged to apply. Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
Moreover, the recruitment agency stated that shortlisted candidates will be required to present original and copy of a signed application letter Curriculum Vitae, certified copies of the relevant academic and professional certificates national identity card, birth certificate and valid clearance certificates from KRA, HELB, EACC Credit Reference Bureau and Kenya Police as per chapter six of the Constitution during the Interview.
