The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary, Alfred Mutua, has announced a nationwide recruitment exercise offering employment abroad to Kenyans, including cleaners and drivers, under the Kazi Majuu initiative.
In a statement on October 28, Dr. Mutua said the recruitment drive aims to connect qualified Kenyans with well-paying jobs in Dubai and Saudi Arabia through credible, authorized job placement agencies.
“Government, in conjunction with credible job recruitment agencies, invites qualified male and female candidates for interviews and job placements in reputable companies overseas,” read part of Alfred Mutua’s statement.
This program targets both skilled and semi-skilled workers, aligning with the government’s efforts to expand foreign employment opportunities and reduce unemployment among young people.
Alfred Mutua Lists Available Positions in Dubai
According to the CS, available opportunities in Dubai include;
- Taxi Drivers (350) — Age 22–45 yrs
- Riders / Delivery Drivers (500) — Age 21–38 yrs
- Warehouse & E-Pickers / Helpers (300) — Age 21–40 yrs
- Security Guards (150) — Age 21–38 yrs; Height 5’7 ft; Fluent in English
- Cleaners (Male & Female) — Age 22–35 yrs
- Waitresses / Hotel Housekeepers — Age 22–35 yrs
- Masons, Steel Fixers, Carpenters & General Labourers (175) — Age 21–45 yrs
The listed Dubai jobs offer a two-year renewable contract with benefits including free accommodation, food, transport, medical cover, and overtime pay as stipulated under UAE labour laws.

Successful candidates will also enjoy 30 days of annual leave.
Saudi Arabia Job Openings
For Saudi Arabia, the government has announced opportunities for drivers (50) and mechanics (25).
These positions offer similar benefits, including free accommodation, food, transport, and medical insurance, with a two-year contract renewable upon satisfactory performance.
Interview Dates, Requirements, and Process
Alfred Mutua confirmed interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted from Wednesday, 29th October to Friday, 31st October 2025, at the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) centres in Mombasa and Athi River.

Interested applicants are required to attend interviews as follows;
- NITA Mombasa on 29th October 2025
- NITA Athi River on 30th and 31st October 2025
Candidates must carry their National ID, academic and professional certificates, passport or proof of passport application, passport photos, and any relevant work-related documents.
Notably, the ministry clarified that a mandatory commission will apply to cover expenses such as air tickets, medical examinations, training, service fees, visa fees, and documentation costs.
“Mandatory commission applies on all jobs to cover air ticket, medical, training, service fee, visa fees, and documentation costs,” the statement read.
Additionally, applicants have been urged to arrive early at the interview centres, carry a packed lunch, and prepare for on-the-spot assessments.
