African Express Airways has announced job vacancies for male or female flight attendants with a C+ and above in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
The airline made the announcement in a statement on Friday, March 8, asking interested and qualified candidates to apply for the open positions.
Additionally, the notice detailed that applicants for the position should have an outgoing and charming personality.
Other qualifications for the position include being ready to work in a challenging environment.
“Experience on MD 82, DC-9, EMBRAER 120 & CRJ for Cabin Crew is an added advantage. Candidates should be between 21 to 25 years old,” the notice read in part.

Other Job Openings at African Express Airways
At the same time, the airline indicated that it was recruiting captains with a minimum of 2,000 hours in command.
“MD 82/83, DC-9, Embraer 120 & CRJ-200 Must hold a current ATPL with a minimum of 2000 hours-in-command and current on type,” added the statement.
In addition, the airline is looking for engineers and first officers.
The first officers must hold a current CPL with a minimum of 1500 flying time. Also, they must hold 500 hours multi crew cockpit operations time.
On the other hand, the engineers must be qualified on MD 82/83, DC-9, Embraer 120 & CRJ Type with “A”, “C” or Multiple” X” Avionics License.

Interested applicants have been directed to send in their applications before March 30, 2024.
Further, the airline directed that applications are made in writing and copies of CVs and other relevant documents attached to afex@africanexpress.net.
The statement did not indicate the number of vacancies available for the positions advertised.
