The Ministry of Defence has invited applications for fifteen (15) vacant Support Staff and Sanitary Cleaner positions and thirty (30) Garden Assistant III positions.
In an advertisement dated December 30, the Ministry of Defence stated that applicants are required to complete one PSC2 (Revised 2016) form and submit it along with copies of the relevant certificates.
“Applications are invited for the following posts in the Ministry of Defence. Interested and qualified persons are requested to make their applications by completing ONE application form PSC2 (Revised 2016) and submit the same together with copies of the required certificates,” read part of the advertisement.
Completed applications should reach the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Defence, P.O. Box 40668-00100, Nairobi, or be hand-delivered to Ulinzi House, gate off Lenana Road, by January 20, 2026.

Ministry of Defence Invites Applications for Garden Assistant III Positions
The Ministry of Defence has invited applications for thirty (30) Garden Assistant III positions under CSG 15 (Advert No. 1/2025).
Successful candidates will earn a basic salary of Ksh19,340 – 24,470 per month, with a house allowance depending on the area of deployment, a commuter allowance of Ksh3,000, and a leave allowance of Ksh4,000 once yearly.
The ministry stated that the posts are permanent and pensionable.

The Garden Assistant III role is a training grade. Duties include maintaining lawns, gardens, and flowerbeds, as well as undertaking general gardening tasks across the Ministry’s units, State House, and lodges.
Applicants must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (Plus) or an equivalent qualification.

Job Opportunities for Support Staff/Sanitary Cleaner Positions
Additionally, the ministry has invited applications for fifteen (15) Support Staff/Sanitary Cleaner positions under CSG 16 (Advert No. 2/2025).
The Support Staff/Sanitary Cleaner role is an entry-level position. Duties include sanitary cleaning in the area of deployment, performing messengerial duties, and undertaking any other related tasks as assigned.
The positions offer a basic salary of Ksh18,250 – 22,720 per month, a house allowance depending on area of deployment, a commuter allowance of Ksh3,000, and a leave allowance of Ksh4,000 once yearly.
Applicants must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of ‘D’ (plain) or an equivalent qualification.
In addition, they must possess a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Further, the positions are permanent and pensionable.
The Ministry warned that any canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
