TSC Announces 170 Senior Administrative Jobs: How to Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised 170 job vacancies across, covering senior, mid‑level, and regional management roles.

In a public notice dated March 10, 2026, TSC announced that applications for the positions are due by March 23 at 23:59 EAT.

The positions span human resource management, internal audit, risk management, staffing, teacher professional standards, and field‑level teacher management.

TSC Announces 170 Senior Positions

According to TSC, this round is aimed at strengthening policy, oversight, and field operations within the secretariat.

TSC has directed all interested and qualified applicants to submit their applications exclusively through the official TSC website, www.tsc.go.ke.

The body further instructed applicants that it does not charge any application, processing, or interview fees, warning that presenting fake certificates or false information is a criminal offence, and stated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

“TSC is committed to affording equal employment opportunities to men and women, members of all ethnic groups and persons with disabilities. People with disabilities, the marginalized and the minorities are therefore encouraged to apply,” read part of the statement by TSC.

Roles of the Advertised Positions

Senior Deputy Director – Human Resource Management and Development

The Senior Deputy Director provides strategic leadership in developing and implementing human resource policies, overseeing workforce planning, staff development, performance management, and compliance with public service HR regulations within TSC.

Senior Deputy Director – Internal Audit

The Senior Deputy Director – leads internal audit operations, develops audit policies, evaluates internal controls, reviews financial and operational processes, supervises audit staff, and reports audit findings for action by senior management and oversight bodies.

Deputy Director – Human Resource Management

The Deputy Director – Human Resource Management supports HR policy implementation, coordinates recruitment, placement, and deployment, manages performance appraisal processes, oversees employee relations and staff welfare, monitors adherence to HR guidelines, and prepares HR reports within the commission.

Deputy Director – Human Resource Development

The Deputy Director – Human Resource Development coordinates TSC staff training and development programmes, implements professional development strategies, conducts training needs assessments, oversees capacity‑building initiatives, monitors training effectiveness, and prepares development plans for the commission.

Deputy Director – Internal Audit (Information Systems)

The Deputy Director – Internal Audit (Information Systems) performs information systems audits, reviews ICT controls, evaluates digital system integrity, assesses technology‑related risks, ensures compliance with ICT governance policies, and prepares TSC audit reports on system performance and security.

Deputy Director – Risk Management

The Deputy Director – Risk Management develops and implements risk management frameworks, identifies institutional risks, monitors mitigation strategies, coordinates risk reviews across departments, maintains risk registers, and advises the commission’s management on risk control measures.

Assistant Director – Teacher Management (Field)

The Assistant Director – Teacher Management (Field) manages teacher deployment at regional and field levels, monitors teacher performance and conduct, oversees disciplinary and compliance processes, coordinates transfers and postings, supports professional development, prepares regional management reports, and liaises with education stakeholders.

Principal Officer – Teacher Professional Management

The Principal Officer – Teacher Professional Management supports the enforcement of teacher professional standards, monitors compliance with conduct regulations, supports professional development activities, manages professional conduct investigations, prepares reports, and maintains records on professional standards.

Principal Officer – Staffing

The Principal Officer – Staffing supports teacher recruitment and deployment, manages staffing records, monitors staffing levels across institutions, coordinates postings and transfers, assists in workforce planning, and prepares staffing analysis and reports for the commission.

Principal Officer – Teacher Discipline Management

The Principal Officer – Teacher Discipline Management supports the handling of disciplinary cases at TSC, coordinates disciplinary hearings and documentation, investigates misconduct, prepares case reports and recommendations, maintains disciplinary records, and ensures compliance with discipline regulations.
