Denis Otieno is a Kenyan, currently working as the Country Director at the National Democratic Institute since 2012.
He was shortlisted for the position of a member of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Denis Otieno appeared before the IEBC Selection Panel chaired by Dr. Nelson Makanda on April 2, 2025.
Denis Otieno Academic Qualifications
He graduated in 2008 with a Master of Business Administration Degree in operations and Project management from the University of Nairobi.
Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Management Science from the University of Nairobi (UoN) where he graduated in 2005.
In 2007, he earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Research from Strathmore University.
Work Experience
Currently, he has been working as the Country Director at the National Democratic Institute since 2012.
From 2019 to 2021, Denis worked at the Democratic Institute as the Deputy County Director and Ag. Country Director.
Otieno has worked as the Senior Program Manager from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that he worked as the Senior Program Manager, Research, M&E and Political Parties from 2013 to 2014.
He has also worked as a Program Manager, a role he played from 2011 to 2013.
