John Kilonzo is a Kenyan Educationist who was shortlisted for the position of member of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

John Kilonzo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Administration from Southeastern Kenya University, awarded in 2020.
He also earned a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from Kenyatta University in 2013.
Kilonzo academic journey began with a Bachelor of Education degree, also from Kenyatta University, which he completed in 1996.
Career Background
John Kilonzo is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Quality Assurance and Standards at the Ministry of Education, a role he has held since 2022.
Prior to this, he was appointed the Acting County Secretary at the Machakos County Government from 2018 to 2019.
From 2014 to 2022, he served as a Chief Officer within the same county government, where he played a key role in education policy implementation and administrative leadership.
Previously, in his career, between 2009 and 2014, he served as the District Education Officer in Lamu East and Mwatate Sub-Counties, overseeing education management at the grassroots level.
