Biography
Annastacia Kimtai is the Managing Director (MD) of KCB Bank Kenya. She is an astute career Banker with over twenty-five (25) years’ experience in Banking, twelve (12) years of which have been in senior management roles in Strategic Leadership and Business Development.
Prior to her current role, she served as Director, Retail Banking where she was in charge of over 210 branches in Kenya.

Annastacia holds an MBA Degree in Business Administration & Strategic Management, MA Degree in Rural Economics and Cooperation.
In addition, she has earned a BA Degree in Community Development, Economics and Rural Banking. She is a Certified Executive Coach from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AOEC).
Similarly, she is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program for Africa (SEPA) from Harvard University and the Global Executive Development Program from Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) Business School.
Career and Achievements
Annastacia sits on the Boards of KCB Bank Kenya, KCB Foundation, KCB Bank Kenya’s Board Credit Committee, KCB Bank Kenya’s Board Strategy & Digital Committee, and KCB Bank Kenya’s Board Audit Committee.
Additionally, she is a Non-Executive Board Member of the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company (KMRC).
Furthermore, the MD has championed financial inclusion for customers at the bottom of the pyramid by steering development of products and services to serve this niche clientele.
Annastacia is an expert in managing and turning around troubled business as part of the team seconded to manage Chase Bank and Imperial Bank in Receivership.
Likewise, she is spearheading the Bank’s FLME (Female Led and Made Enterprises) project for inclusion of more businesswomen in Banking.
Other than being knowledgeable, dynamic and results oriented, Annastacia is a strategic thinker whose strength lies in execution of goals leading to consistent delivery of exceptional results.
Kimtai’s strength is in people leadership with a bias for effective communication which enables her to nurture, mentor and coach leaders.
Moreover, she is a person of high integrity with strong values of honesty, fairness, commitment to corporate governance, risk management and compliance, she works seamlessly with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams and participates in networking and stakeholder engagements.
