Sheikh Umulkheir Kassim is a Kenyan politician and the current Woman Representative for Mandera County, under the United Democratic Movement (UDM) party.
Early life and educational background
Sheikh Umul Ker Kassim built her foundation in healthcare and public service through structured education.
Between 2001 and 2004, she earned a Higher Diploma from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), enhancing her technical expertise.
She returned to KMTC in 2006 for a second higher diploma, which she completed in 2007, before advancing her professional growth at Kenya Methodist University (KEMU), where she earned a degree between 2013 and 2016.

Professional career
From 2013 to 2022, Sheikh Umul served Mandera County as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA), where she engaged directly with local governance and community development.
Sheikh Umul also founded and directed the UK Foundation, a community-oriented NGO, in 2014.

Political career
In the August 2022 general election, Kassim successfully contested the position of Women Representative for Mandera County on the United Democratic Movement (UDM) ticket.
