Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush, is a Kenyan comedian and creative. Njugush stands out as one of the best Comedians in the Entertainment Industry. He has creatively dominated the screens with his comedy and acting.
Early Life
He was born in Meru County in 1991. He is the firstborn in his family. Timothy was raised in a Christian home, his father being a Reverend. Growing up, he was bullied for being skinny, making him develop self-esteem issues.
He embarked on a journey of self-awareness to help him embrace his skinny body.
Education Background of Njugush
Njugush attended more than five schools due to his father’s work as a reverend, which required frequent relocations and prompted him to change schools often.
One of the schools he attended was Kawangware Primary School. He later joined Naaro High School where he did his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
He graduated from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication where he did a Journalism and Mass Communication Course.
Career and Comedy
Timothy started his acting career when he joined a drama club in the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
After realizing his potential in acting, he decided to join Kenya National Theatre to kickstart his career.
In 2013, Abel Mutua approached him with a proposed role in his “Hapa Kule News” a role that he gladly accepted.
He credits his career success to Abel Mutua, who has held his hand as a friend and mentor.
Over time, he rose through the ranks and became a creative director in the show that aired on NTV.

Njugush’s talent gained him recognition, leading to his role as a lead actor in The Real House Helps of Kawangware. However, he departed from the show after two years.
Further, he pitched a proposal to Safaricom, for a celebrity advertisement job, which was accepted. He became a brand Safaricom ambassador which opened him to more opportunities.
He started his own YouTube channel where he showcases his creative online comedy videos.
In 2020, he started his stand-up comedy show called “Through Thick and Thin” (TTNT), where he features his wife Celestine “Wakavinye”.

Family
He is married to Celestine Ndinda, and they have two sons, Tugi and Toria.
Net Worth
Although he has not revealed his net worth, he owns a YouTube channel that he monetizes, in addition, he owns a house and cars. Moreover, he recently has ventured into Matatu business, owning two buses.
