Her career began in January 2019 when she became the Secretary General of DadaPower Initiative in Murang’a County.

From January 2019 to May 2025, Serah served as the Citizen Engagement and Public Participation Lead at the World Scouts Parliamentary Union – Kenya.
Between 2019 and 2023, she held the position of Communications and Public Relations Lead for the Youth Spaces Program in Nairobi County.
In 2020, Serah founded the Gears for Change Initiative in Juja, Kiambu County, where she serves as Chairperson.
Through this platform, she has championed gender equality, governance reforms, and anti-corruption initiatives.
